Since this car uses a relatively small engine (1.3 litre) compared to its body, a problem with its air conditioner sometimes happen. It seems that this car needs a larger engine (say 1.5 l).
The car uses high gearing ratios, so you need a 4,000 rpm to achieve 100 km/h in the highways.
When used on the highway, the car was unstable especially if the speed exceeds 100 km/h.
Fuel consumption is not as efficient as I expected. It only achieves 11 km/l for highway driving.
I waited for almost 6 months to get this car (I paid the down payment in 2004 and got the car in mid 2005).
The first impression I got from this car is its nicely designed exterior and capability to take 7 persons.

Sporty, trendy and good value, this car was created by Indonesian. It's a good car. This car might look cool in other country but for indonesian, it's just an ordnary car because we have lots of it in Indonesia.If you think Avanza is too expensive , ,you could buy the cheaper version called Daihatsu Xenia.
