1994 Honda Passport LX from North America - Comments

"Above all, it's a Honda (well, at least they approved of Isuzu's work, anyway.)"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Battery cables shorted... not manufacturer problem... Timing belt tensioner at 195000...labor was high because of tricky settings ($800). Nothing else went wrong.

General comments?

Great car, nice ride, and tough. Excellent torque and power on highway. Very reliable. The only thing I didn't like about the car is the short wheelbase. If you slide on ice or mud, it won't stop spinning... nearly impossible to regain control... explaining the impact of the guardrail that totalled my truck. But it did drive off the highway after the impact...tough. I like the way the seats fold down for excellent luggage room.

Excellent towing. I used it to move a few times, and pulled a trailer loaded with furniture... no problems. This has a much better towing capacity than the toyota and the nissan of similar class.

Wrong motor size stated. I suspect this is the 3.2 v-6.
