"Fast Car, Treat It Good And It's Good To You!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Nothing.

General comments?

Just bought my 1992 Eagle Talon TSi AWD. It has 142K kms on it, first owner, mint condition, $7000 cnd. This car is amazing, pulls hard, runs great, gas is HORRIBLE if your WOT all the time (Wide Open Throttel). But drive it like a good little car and its good. These cars are amazing, with a new turbo, manfiold, injectors, fuel pump, exhaust, and manual boost controler you can hit 300 AWHP eaisly. The bottom end is safe till about 450 hp, after that you need to think about doing some upgrades. The biggest problem is the timming belt, the snap and warp heads and bend valves. If your buying a broken one check this first. any question email me at dsm_tuner_@msn.com.

I have a 17 year old daughter and we are buying her a used car and this is the type of car she wants. She has found one and wants her dad to look at it when he gets home next week, it is an automatic what is your comment on this car for a young driver?

You don't buy a little sports car for a new driver. Especially an automatic talon. Not the most reliable cars, but can be easily modded to go really really fast.

Basically, don't get it for your daughter.

Hi, I am looking at buying a 1992 Eagle Talon AWD tsi for $1,500, but the body has a little over 300,000 miles on it, and it has a new motor with 30,000 on it. Also the timing belt snapped, and well there is most likely a bent valve. Is this a good price to buy at or not thanks. And also, how much am I looking at to repair it?

I just bought my Eagle Talon today for $300. yeah that's cheap, but the guy wanted it off his land. well it has been to the machine shop about 3 times before I bought it and has a rebuilt/new motor bored out to a 2.3. I asked the guy what was wrong with it and he said that it had the timing belt replaced, and a brand new tensioner in it. but now I have 2 bent valves. but when it starts up it sputters. (I have not driven it, I towed it home.) now I am wondering what could cause a valve to bend and if it should be OK to replace them. I know that the motors are zero tolerance motors. but I wanted to know if I could replace them my self and how hard it would be to do the job. other than that I had friends who sore up and down this is a great car, Now that I own one I hope to also swear by it to. oh and I do not have a turbo. so if you can help me in any way on how to fix or what the cause of bending a valve please write me at proskation@aol.com. thanks cause I wanna make this car be my dream car of speed.
