Automatic temperature control flaky and replaced twice.
Brake rotors replaced 4 times, callipers changed, pads numerous times due to warpage and vibrations.
On the third AC evaporator. Compressor changed once.
Water pump changed - leaked.
Cracked thermostat housing.
Transmission shot now - slipping.
Rusted hood and trunk lid after 3 years old.
Fully replaced by the dealer (one good thing!).
Vibration and noise from the front end. Dealer could not find the cause.
Lower ball joints and tie rod ends replaced earlier than normal.
Windshield wiper crank rod pivot rusted out. Wiper sprayers freeze up and do not work well. Wiper blades need replacement often due to poor design.
Seats not comfortable on long drives. No lumbar support.
I agree once again. This car is JUNK, please no one buy one, not even mine... I couldn't sleep if I sold this car to some one, I don't know how DODGE can.
I am third on the agreement. My Vision was absolute JUNK!!!
1.rotors failed at 8,000 miles (I don't drive hard)
2.brake pads were next at 11,500 miles
3.lower main seal failed at 15,000 miles
4.a/c failed (entire system) at 27,000 miles
5. two days after geting the a/c fixed the power features (windows, locks, seats, mirrors, and radio) quit for no explainable reason.
6.transmission (complete replacement) at 29,974 miles
7.the ENTIRE brake system (front and rear rotors, pads, calipers, master cylinder) at 31,000 miles
8.second transmission at 32,074 due to blockage in line (what ever happend to quality control??)
9.new engine at 35,000 miles (due to oil sludge buildup)
10.HORRIABLE RESALE VALUE (that is why I had to keep this POS)
11.miracles do happen as a pick up rear ended me therefore ridding me of this mess.
I bought this car due to the roomy interior, good looks and performance for a car this size.
All of the repairs listed above fell under warranty. My dealer was great and provided me with transport while my car was in the shop. I will not ever purchase an american branded car again let alone a chrysler product. How can they get away with selling this kind of junk. Chrysler
's cust. svc. dept is worthless don't try to call thier 1-800 number. I'm just I broke even on this POS. So I bought another vehicle off the same dealer. This time I was smart and got a VW.
I don't care what you guys say I've had my 1996 eagle vision since new it now has 348,951 miles and still on it's first engine and transmission. it still runs like brand new. very solid, fast dependible. it has a 3.3l and I've blown away a dodge ram with a v10, a ford taurus sho v8, and a chevy caprice with a 5.0l.
Well for one thing... the Vision is not made by Chrysler nor Dodge, but by EAGLE! yes Chrysler may of owned Eagle, but Eagle still made their own vehicles (even though some are brother and sisters, but they were made at different plants). all we've ever had were Chrysler vehicles and they have been great. we had a GM died within a month and we had a Ford Escort and reverse kept on going out on her and she only had like 110,000.
