The automatic transmission needed to be overhauled at 138000 kms, revs were flaring before banging into gear, very costly repair.
The 4 wheel steering had electrical problems which was repaired at low cost.
Also i replaced engine mounts and rear wheel bearings.
The Honda Prelude is a seriously quick car, it responds to anything I expect from it.
My car is fitted with a sports flywheel, gear cams, V2 induction kit, sports fuel injected intake manifold, ceramic 4-2-1 exhaust manifold with a strait trough exhaust system, vtec controller and the ECU is chipped to give out 400 bhp.
The interior is full black leather seats, steering wheel and gearshift knob.
Included is wood trim, digital climate control, 3 TV's, DVD MP3 CD player.
The performance on this car is second to none. Honda knew what they were doing when they built this car.
400bhp, yeah righty ho mate.
400 bhp, I don't think so, I have spend 6500 pounds on my 2.2 vtec engine and it's only running at 280 bhp.
I think what he's saying that the ECU is chipped and capable of 400bhp which doesn't mean its the exact figure.

Yeah I also have a sir prelude, I've put €2600 into it and it's running at 393bhp. Sorry to that other lad who spent €6500 but you want someone who knows Honda's to do the work on it!!!
So 400 bhp is very possible my friends...
I have a Prelude and the 4ws light is on; I can tell that the rear wheels are not turning. Is this going to be costly to fix? Is it just a sensor?
