"A high performance bargain"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Nothing.

General comments?

Buy one, if you think you drive a fast car you havn't driven one of these. Any other GTI model of car is slow compared to this Cosworth eating flying machine that keeps up with cars five times the price.

I agree... great car, but maybe you should drive the car for more than 9000 miles before saying how good it is?

9,000 miles is plenty. Sort of miles Schumacher and McRae clock up in a year!

Well I suppose I agree a little bit with you all. They are a ultimate super car killer for value! Best advice I can give to anyone is buy one around 300bhp take all seats out replace with two carbon fibre bucket seats you'll be doing 0-60 in about 4 sec and only have to worry about gearbox, but clutch will be OK so long as you don't put it all through on the stand still.

The experience sitting in one of these cars is like no other, but handling is pretty disappointing drop the ride height and tighten the supspension and your OK (till you hit a speed bump) but it's a bit all or nothing the back end doesn't come out it skips out!before you know it its all or nothing (especially in wet).Either drift round corner or spin out. If you want handling get scoobie, but if you want to kill anything in a straight line PULSAR!!!
