steering vibrates and car shudders slightly at exactly 40km/h then its all very smooth again at 43km/h worse when going through turns and accelerating.Only happens between 40km/h to 43km/h
Took it back to the dealer to check, They did the wheel balancing, same problem,They change one of the front tires to the extra, great improvement, but still faint. Finally they think its been parked for a while and the front discs might have deposits and will wear off, I don't think so, but decide to leave as it is,Otherwise its such a sweet car. I have done more than 200km on half the gas Tank. Almost thought the needle was faulty.
Original Entry was made by me. Now the car has done 26,700Km, Shudder is still there, I Ignored it, but now worse I guess from Warped Discs and worn brake pads. Engine is still running like new even if I missed the 10,000Km service and did the next one at 26,000KM. Returns so much on the gas. Never had a more economical car. Was surprised to find out that the cost of replacing the front Discs is way higher than that of the Honda Accord EX a Bigger car with way more luxurious stuff and superior drive. Wonder if cash saved on gas would work the difference?
Car has now done 34,000KM and got crashed into as well as chirped on gate sills by driver. Apart from the few cosmetic problems it's a Gem. I Love this car. Racing with other 1.3 or even1.5 lt cars make me smile. The other day I ran a 80km stretch with a 2007 Honda Civic 1.8ltr "Ivtec", fine, I could not get past, but he could not get away either. The best 1.3ltr engine in the World. With age the shudder is worse, I suspect defective brake Discs From the Factory. Don't think I would have gotten a better car. Drove a smaller Peugeot 206 and the shudder was horrible. I might be replacing very soon and will get another Corolla.
