"It is not worth it's money"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Fault brakes.

Mirrors makes noise when the doors closed.

ECU does not work well and the car is ''shaking''.

Noise from the engine.

General comments?

For a brand new car the problems are huge.

At the first 300km I have to change the brakes(I went twise becouse at first they fixed them at the screw machine and after 100km they replaced them).

The rpm was not stable and the car was shaking.

The service informm me that the problem was excisting from the beginning and Toyota is looking for a solution.

After 3 months they changed the ECU but the problem was the same.

They still trying to find what is happen and ofcourse they din't axcept that the car has problem after the replace of ECU.

As for the mirrors at least now I hear noise only from the left one.

The engine is noisy at low and high speeds.

I was thinking to buy a corola for second car but now my only though is how I will make away from Avensis.

Bad for the reptutation of Toyota

You must be driving correctly or running the crap out of the car and abusing it. This is very rare in a toyota and sometimes in all vehicles there is one bad apple in the bunch. My 2005 Avensis is totally dependable and love the car with 25,000 km's in one year!

I don't think it's fair to attack the reviewer just because your car works fine. I had a 2004 Avensis T3-S that was in for more warranty work than I can remember. This after mostly motorway driving and regular servicing.

I'd perhaps question the workmanship of Toyota's assembled in the UK. I'm not quite convinced of the quality when compared to the Japanese assembly line.

You hear the old saying "you must have bought a lemon" whenever someone gets a bad Toyota, but I've heard it enough times to think about setting up a citrus fruit stall.

I agree with the other greek. I also have a 2003 avensis.Problems with clutch, brakes. lastic decorative under from the ventilator got spoiled because of the heat. very bad suspension behind. our friends get dizzy in the rear seat, very unstable when it turns and dangerous.
