"Refined under-rated hot hatch, some small, but irritating problems though"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

This car is really good and good value for money, it's also a great pain in the a*** coming only second to my old Citroen BX (Hydraulic Problems). CHECK THE CLUTCH CABLE CLIP, THIS IS PRONE TO SNAP TOO OFTEN FOR COMFORT. AND IF IT GOES DON'T GET YOUR CAR TAKEN TO MR CLUTCH AS THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF AND IT WILL SNAP AGAIN. IT DID TO ME AND THE RAC MAN FIXED IT. I AM WORRIED IT WILL GO AGAIN SO I'm GOING TO TRY AND TIE IT TOGETHER AS IT'S VERY UNNERVING WHEN DRIVING, KNOWING YOUR CLUTCH CABLE COULD SNAP AT ANY TIME!!!

APART FROM SOME WEIRD CREAKY NOISE THE BRAKES MAKE AND THE LACK OF POWER STEERING THE CAR IS GREAT!

General comments?

For a 1.4 the car performs well, it is a pleasure to drive and is very under rated indeed. I have the Aura version which is even more refined. I must admit I have turned into a Citroen fanatic since owning a Xantia Diesel, however due to lack of funds to maintain the acclaimed hydro-pneumatic system I wanted something Citroen; but more conventional - hence the ZX.
