"Diesel version great, petrol version remortgage!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Car suffers from several faults, the 1st being sometimes whilst driving, the engine & all electrics cut out completely then come back to life between 2 - 30 seconds later, suspect ignition switch. the climate control has a fault, says that rear heater has open circuit, but works fine, air con doesn't always work, compressor clutch and fans do not kick in, does anybody know of what controls this? please email me at stuart@skylightcomputers.co.uk. fuel consumption is bad, but apart from that a really good car.

General comments?

I would buy another version, the diesel is much better value for money, but it is hard to get 1 with privacy windows and automatic, I went for the 2.3 ghia, the fuel is terrible, as little as 15mph round town!!! actual car though is really good, it has helped me through a lot and the fact you can remove all the rear seats and have an instant van, fantastic!

I suspect the comment above comes from an American who has no comprehension of how much "gas" costs in the UK.

If I were to tell you we pay the equivalent of USD 7.50 per gallon, perhaps you can see why he worries?
