2005 Peugeot 307 cc from UK and Ireland - Comments

"Fabulous to drive and to look at. Faults are annoying"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Windows leak really badly when washing car.

Door alignment on both doors significantly out.

CD/Telephone system works intermittently. About 80% reliable.

Boot can't always be opened by pressing the '0' in 307.

General comments?

Although I love my car, the faults are seriously annoying. I am sure that once they are rectified I will love it even more especially as the summer is on it's way.

The performance is pretty good for a diesel. Sits very comfortably doing...mph in 6th gear.

I do think it is slightly noisy. My children think it sounds like a truck.

Interesting you seem to have all of the faults I have with my 307CC, however the windows leak when washing the car because you might not be locking it - which is what you have to do.

The windows lower a fraction to allow you to open and close the doors, the sensor which works really well (always detects my hand near the door handle 100% of the time) will also sense car wash brushes, jet washes etc.

So for once that's not one you can pin on Peugeot as being a design fault. :-)

Wait until you have 60k on the clock, then you'll realise how many true faults these cars develop!

Windows leak when car is locked. Clearly a design fault.

Roof mechanism jams.

Sensors do not always work.

Window does not drop sufficiently to open door.

Windows go up and down of their own accord.

Can't always open boot by pressing the O on 307.

CAUSE OF FAULTS Can't BE FOUND!

Peugeot 307cc leaking roof and back window. 5 times back to Peugeot. Must be a fault in 307cc.

I have a Peugeot 307CC; window and roof seals leaking; been back to garage many times; was told not to use pressure hose on seals! Would have been a good thing to have been told that when I bought the car from new.

My wife bought a 307 cc from a dealership in surrey in the UK July 2006, right now it has 16,500 on the clock. We have had a few problems with the car. Noticeably the 0 n the 307 not working - and once my wife accidentally put the keys in the boot whilst getting our baby boy's pram out - and guess what - it started raining - and she couldn't get into the car. I had to come out of work for her. 2nd problem was the roof - been in for repair twice now... basically "seezing up" because of liquid leaking in the hydraulic's... last point and probably the most annoying - the windscreen wipers... they make an awful noise when working - so loud that if you cannot have the radio on because it sounds awful... we've notified the dealership several times and the dealership doesn't care... they deny the problems and these problems have happened since brand new... We will not be buying a car from this manufacturer ever again... their service is shocking... and this car cost £20K... darrencrowder@yahoo.co.uk

I bought one used (2004 model), with 60,000 kilometers on the clock last year! But it still drives like a dream. The car looks hot from the back *those lights*, especially with the top down. The Roof works perfectly and the drive is always smooth.

The only annoying faults I have is the 'shift shock' that all Peugeots 206s and 307s seem to have and the windows: First the sensors are to sensitive and you have to remember to lock the door when you go through an automatic car wash or you'll get soaked and second... on occasion the windows won't respond, and go down and sometimes stay down on their own will. I though it was because my car is 'old', but it seems to be an issue with news cars as well :-s.

307cc - Worse car I have ever bought. Major problems with engine, now the roof is leaking. Will never touch a Peugeot again once I sell this car - if I ever sell it.

Lovely looking car but niggly ongoing problems that have been looked at but not 'cured'. There is an alert that will go off regularly. Just driving over a bump in the road can set it off and it will keep alerting until the roof is put down and back up. Garage insists there isn't a problem!! Yeah right! There is an alert that has shown up 3 times this year which sets the engine management light off and alert saying ' anti-pollution problem... again garage insists no fault can be found and merely required a software update. Guess what? It's happened again. And the door can leak when it rains. And the noisy wipers mentioned by another owner....yep! I have those too. Unbelievable noise and again the garage can't see a problem
