Two air conditioner hose (s) corroded, cost to repair $40.00 with new clamps. PS on my 97 Town and country the only thing that broke was a switch
for the rear windows and get a welder for those
rusty strut mounts, welders do good work on those cheap, The dealers well those guys all 5 of our dealers, are not to be mentioned,
I have owned a 89 es 94 ES AWD 97 Limited Town and Country and we just purchased a 2001 Town and Country Limited. There are many items better on the 2001 unit, these are, anti sway bar on the rear wheels, better lighting, better breaks, digital heating controls, quieter, driver side mirror dims etc I mean well done! Smart electronics, great working electric doors, chip key alarm, Improved engine performance Bravo and it fits plywood without taking the seats out. BRAVO.
But this is my two big complaints, The Radio Infinity now sounds like a ghetto blaster, I mean it is completely worthless! Not only is the bass weak it is missing a few octaves, the midrange and treble now makes the music sound nasal. From something I was always wowed by, with thousands of miles driven, I can tell you order a Town and Country without a Radio!
My second, is the middle seats cannot be moved back, your stuck with tight room for the legs.
But back to the radio, 4 disc stacker and the music sounds like (well mine is turned off now) till I get this resolved. I am not sure if it is the radio or the speakers, but there is nothing Infinity about this sound system. Will I buy a newer Town and Country (NO), fold and go seats are too thin, the floor is a mess, no more mag wheels, etc. 2001 is my last one which I will keep, once I get a radio in it, for now I will drive my 97 Town and County
which has a much better sound system in it.
I agree with the gentleman about the radio my chrysler t/c is in perfect condition. we baby this van and the radio works sometimes other days it doesn't. It isn't easy getting it fix. no one knows what they are doing for less than $300.
