Nothing.
Handles wonderfully, goes like a steam train.
None dealer serviced at a company called Peugeot Ecosse who tune and service the car very cheaply and very well.
Add a big set of wheels and you have a car that will outhandle, outperform (especially to 70 mph) and look better than almost any car you care to mention.
Add to this bullet proof residual value, total reliability and reasonable insurance (if you shop around).
All in all a faultless car that I would recommend to anyone.
I am just about to buy a new car. I have been looking at the 106 GTi's and they seem to be arwsome cars. Would you recommend buying one?

"Add a big set of wheels and you have a car that will outhandle, outperform (especially to 70 mph) and look better than almost any car you care to mention."
Bold statements, considering the cars performance figures aren't even that great and it takes someone who knows something about cars to easily distinguish it from lesser 106 models. It's a quick little car yes, but the 106 gti reviews here seem to be very excitable and over the top when praising it.
My 106 GTi was bought from new, and I lost over £4000 in 18 months when it came to sell it. That said, I thoroughly enjoyed every mile I put on it and found that if you know what you are doing behind the wheel, not many other people can keep up with them on the B roads. An excellent starter car for anyone with a genuine interest in learning what a "drivers car" is all about. Hope the 107GTi is this good!

Screwing around with the chassis on these cars instantly robs them of all that makes them special. That includes fitting bigger wheels. Shame.
As long as you don't go too big on the wheels it should improve overall grip. Lowering the suspension will definitely help the handling by making it more 'chuckable' on the bends with less body roll.
