We had one recall since we purchased the car, and that was for the gas tank straps. My wife does not like the light plastic interior on the center console because it scratches easy with the seat belt.
Other than a that, we have had no mechanical problems with this car!
Wife, and I love it thus far. It's a very stylish family car. We get around 23 to 24 miles to the gallon around town, and 26 to 27 on the highway. (We have the FWD) That sure beats the 20 MPG we barely got on the Blazer! I keep the oil changes done at the recommended 5000 miles, along with all the other general maintenance items. I feel the engine is peppy for whatever I’m asking it to do, I mean I‘m not looking for race car performance here, especially with a car full of people. The CVT has been running very nicely! I now notice the shifting of regular cars when I ride in them... Very strange.
We’ve regularly used all the seats in the car, and have had no complaints about the comfort. Most people love the third row because of the higher seating. Although getting in and out of them tends to be a little tricky, so we just let the younger generation use them. We love the room in it when you lay down the back row.
The cabin noise can be a little more than I like at times, but its not overwhelming.
All in all, we have nothing bad to say about it, we have taken it on several long trips, and it drives like a dream.
I think the freestyles performance is great for what it is I have one and I can get the front tires to smoke around the corner{the only reason I spin the tires on the car is because it's a lease and its going back to ford}
If the interior noise levels are half of what I now get in my F350 Dually Diesel, then I wouldn't tnotice it. :) Thanks for the review.
