I had the tires, brakes, exhaust system, and the plugs and wires replaced when I bought the car, as well as the carb rebuilt because it had been sitting a while.
After I started using the car the only thing that I had to do was replace the radiator, not uncommon - it was 25 years old!
I love this car, it rides great, it's very fast (for its size) and there aren't any cars out there that match the styling that it has. It is unique and I think that's missing in many of today's cars.
When something does go wrong, it can be expensive and hard to find, and it is expensive to run, I only get about 10-13 mpg in town. It does get about 17 on the highway though.
I have been searching for a 75 SJ model Pontiac Grand Prix. Please mail me if you know of any for sale.

Please help I purchased a 1975 Grand Prix but I'm in need of Rally Wheels. Do you know of any place online where I can order them?
Tyson my email address is hyside44@cs.com.
I have a 1975 Pontiac Grand Prix with just 80,000 miles. It's may Dad's, but he had a stroke a year ago and hasn't been driving it in the last two years. Very very good shape. He's the original owner too.

I used to own a 75 Grand Prix with 400 and 400 trans and holly 600 with header and side exhaust and a high power coil. It was 0-60 in 5 seconds and was so comfortable to drive. UNTIL, I was at a party and I was too drunk to drive one night, and asked a friend from work to drive me to the store. I didn't know she was plastered until she came up the street at 40 mph and ran right into my own car on the passenger side as I was sitting in the passenger seat of her car. Yes it was totaled and yes it made me ILL. I miss that car so much!!! I still have flashbacks of the death of my car!!!
