I have a 1985 Camaro 2.8, runs okay but I want to drop a V8 in it. I need some information on the things I have to change when I start putting the V8 in.
You will need to re-do your front suspension.. a lot of wiring.. It won't handle the same with an engine that is 2ce the weight of your v6. ~I~ would try to put a quad 4 in it, with the speed chip and centrifugical blower.. You can get 650Hp like that. But why a Camaro? Ah, nothing.. just bias, I guess.. I have always found them to be rather cheap in build..
Yo Yo man, I have an 1985 Camaro Berlinetta, and I just love it. It too has a 2.8 V6. Although I would rather have a Camaro RS, but I am quite happy with my car. I admit some things have gone wrong with it, for example, I had to replace the main bearing, starter, new exhaust, and most recently a flywheel. If anything else goes wrong with it, you can bet that I'll fix it because my car is my baby too.
