"A Thunderbird That Really Does Fly..."

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Not a thing...

General comments?

I have a 1993 Ford Thunderbird Sport. The engine is the 5.0 HO , with a AOD trans. The Car is White, with Blue Interior. I bought the car last year because my 1991 Thunderbird was starting to need work. So I bought the 1993 T Bird at used car lot. When I had purcahsed it it had 197,800 miles on it. The car still runs like new, and now has over 203,000 miles on it. The car is fully loaded (aside a sunroof), extreamly comfortable, and has a killer sound system, with ice cold A/C. Overtime, I had a new high flow exhaust installed to give the Thunderbird a nice deep tone (sounds like a 5.0 Mustang from far away),and added a K&N cold air intake. The car is very fast, and will boil the tires on demand. A true sleeper it is, like a wolf in sheeps clothing. It could spank those lil rice burners in a heartbeat, and keep up with those 5.0 Mustangs and GM F bodys. It is an odd Thunderbird though. Under the rear taillight it reads "Sport". I have never seen another one like it. I have seen many LX's and SC's , But never a Sport. I know it was an option for the 1991 and 1992 Thunderbirds, but mine is a 1993 Thunderbird Sport, that is # matching, and 1993 the Sport was omitted from the options list. It has a very low VIN , too. I dont not have any idea if is a rare car, or just a common 1993 Thunderbird, but i did some research and The Sport model is not mentioned nearly as much as the LX and the SC models. If there is anybody with any information about the Sport Model Thunderbird, please get back at me. Thanks for reading. Peace...

They never made a Sport Model. You have been had my friend. Somebody has simply slapped a Decal under that Rear Tail Light as you mentioned. I should take it back to the place of Purchase and demand some money back.

I Cracked the VIN on it, and after all it's a 1993 Thunderbird LX. The Sport badge was installed at the Ford Dealership. It looks cool anyways. Its still a Bad Ass 1993 Thunderbird 5.0...

I bought a used '93 t-bird sport in 1994 from a very reputable local dealer. red with black interior. never seen another like it. had the ho 5.0 motor. I don't believe this is a dealer add-on. how many other ho 5.0 t-bird's have you seen in? I wish I could find one again.

If I had found out that I had been ripped off by a dealer simply slamming a sport badge on my Tailgate, I would be furious and straight round to the dealer Mob handed demanding some serious Beer Vouchers.

The 93 birds have the 95 Mustang 5.0 HO. I took one out and put it in my 79 Fairmont Wagon, and it woops on 5.0 HO Mustangs with a mac exhaust.

In 1991 and 1992, the Thunderbird Sport was a separate model all it's own, it had the 5.0 H.O. and the Vin had *****60T********** in it. If it has 62T then it is a LX 5.0. On the door tag it will have four "J"s like "TJJJJ" as it gets the SC suspension. All Sports had full instrumentation.

In 1993, Sport was an option package as I recall.

Don't believe these guys about it not being a true t-bird sport!!! The fact is: real t-bird guys will know the truth!!! I have a 92 t-bird sport and it has a 5.0 HO engine and it was a only made from 91-93. When ford made them they were cutting in to the super coupe sales and they were cutting there own necks so they stopped. and believe me there are not many of them at all left on the road. So hold on to what you have my brother because when the time comes it will be worth a lot of money!!!

Hey, I am the original creator of this page. To this day, I still have the 1993 Ford Thunderbird 5.0 HO. It now has about 215,000 miles. The speedometer broke at 201,728 miles, so I can tell about about the time and distance around aprox 215. It Still Kicks Ass To drive. The 5.0 still runs awsome, and Still Sounds Tough as Hell. It The Best Looking Thunderbird in town for sure, espacally for the miles. People still ask me about the Sport badge on trunk. They say that they have have never seen another one like mine. I have seen them online, but never another in real life. I have learned so much on this car since I first purchased it, back in October 2005. Since I bought this car, I have added a set of Firestone Indy 500 Tires 235/60/R15 Tires with Raised White Letters, and have

added an Custom Exhuast System to gain some more power, and to get that Nasty 5.0 rumble. Added K&N Air Filter to grab some more air and pick up a few extra horsepower, and kept up with all the regular mantinces. It Still an amazing car to have. It still gets about 23 MPG on the highway. I always have run this car with 93 Premium octane or better. It Could still Burn Nasty Rubber down the block, too. This is a Bad Ass 1993 Thunderbird, and Nobody has one quite like mine. I'm going to keep this cars as long as I can. My little brother kinda wants it. Deffenetly a great 1st car to start Terrorizing the street in. Nobody suspects the Sleeper looking Thunderbird...Peace...

I just bought a 1992 Thunderbird Sport (plumb crazy purple) 4 speed automatic, with the 5.0 HO engine.

I paid 550$ canadian for it, it's has 162,000kms on it, and has every option you can think of less the sunroof.

I am 18 years old, this is my second T-bird and I know they kick ass. I had one 1988 Thunderbird with the 5.0 in it last summer, and beat a 2006 SS Monte Carlo *sucker* hahaha. You should of seen the look on his face, I could swear he had tears. Couldn't see the speed I was going, but it just kept going. That SS couldn't go any faster.

Well I have an under glow kit for it (blue), with an after market sound system.

I'm planning to place a 5.0 5spd in it soon, has dual exhaust on it, with low prof's for summer riding, hasn't been winter driven in the past 2 years that I know of.

I think it was a steal for that price, and gotta love the interior; it's like a cockpit, everything surrounds you, and everything you need is right there, all the power right at your foot. I beat my friends lil rice burner.

Any reply to this add email marc_doucet2@hotmail.com thank you.

I'm sorry. Your 1988 T bird with the 150hp 5.0L did NOT beat a 06' 240hp supercharged MC SS. Maybe it was a regular 170hp MC with SS badges on it. Then I believe you.

I just bought my 1992 Thunderbird Sport with the H. O 5.0L yesterday from it's original owner. This is my 6th T-bird and I had no idea that there was a such thing as a "Sport" Model. I was riffling through the glovebox and found the original window sticker from 1992 and it said Sport! I was like huh? So did some research and walla! It's a real model! This car is cleeeeean! 127,000 miles, it's white with light gray interior. Awesome car!
