"Not good at all"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Things that have gone wrong with my car in the 5 years I have had it.

Window fell out of door, when rolling it up.

Replace the alternator 2 times.

Replace the starter.

Cloth on roof is falling down.

Had to replace all ball joints.

Crake in engine.

Both door handles are coming apart.

Dash has been coming apart.

Seat belt and check engine light stay on, even though I have had both checked.

Both stand by brake lights in back went out which it cost $100 to be replaced since you have to buy the whole light.

Door came off hinges.

General comments?

This car after so many years... you just don't want it. I have spent more money replacing items than what the car is worth.

That sounds about right. I just bought a normal 1991 v8 5.0 bird and there was a lot of the minor stuff you listed which needed to be fixed, being:

-door hinges

-door handles

-dash falling off

-windows falling out of place

-seat belt doesn't work, so I guess that can explain my seat belt light

-on top of that, these are the Ford cars that had recalls on their headlight switches for starting fires. you might want to replace the original Motorcraft switch if it's still in there, could be very hazardous, plus, mine was making my headlights and brake lights flicker, which was very illegal and hazardous

Seems like previous owners usually don't do these poor cars justice- Take care of your T-Bird!!
