Nothing to report at this time.
I absolutly love this vehicle. It is plush inside and still on a truck frame so it can handle a little offroad and has great towing capabilities. It rides so smooth that you cannot tell you are in a suv. The straight six cylinder engine is full of torque and has plenty of power to pull a 23 foot boat. I traded in a rendezvous for this Rainier. The Rendezvous was nice, but not as useful and refined as the Rainier.
I agree,
I have owned 3 Pontiac Azteks which, I have been very pleased with. When it came time to trade-in, the Aztek had been discontinued. I had remembered reading some interesting reviews on the Rainier when it was introduced 2 or 3 years ago. I could not find someone I knew who owned one, but some friends had just purchased a Chevy Trailblazer (same body and interior design) and were pleased.
I met a man at the Dealership with his '05 Rainier, and he and his wife confirmed my thoughts and said it "rode like being on a cloud".
I knew what they meant when I picked up my '06. It feels strong, sits up moderately high for road view, and truly drives like I am on air. Even my friends with the new Trailblazer commented on the ride and more plush interior features.
I still see many Trailblazers and Envoys, but rarely see the Buick Rainier on the road. This may be due to the higher sticker price or the perceived "old people image" with Buick products. Either way this 41 year old and wife are happy to be in a new generation Buick.
I love my Buick Rainer, I've only had it for a couple of months, I bought it used. Now I just can't imagine not owing one, it's luxurious and a truck all at the same time. Bummer that '07 is the last production year. I pull around a skidoo trailer most of the time for work and it pulls so well that I forget that I'm pulling a trailer full of lumber. I would definitely recommend anyone who wants an SUV to check this one out. If you can find one.
