For 235000 miles it is starting to fall apart:
1. Trunk doesn't stay open (you have to hold it up)
2. Horn doesn't honk
3. Apolstry on the ceiling is falling off
4. Cassette Tape deck doesn't work
5. The heating/cooling fan doesn't work
6. The MAF sensor is bad (needs to be replaced or it won't run) $130+ bucks
7. 1 headlight doesn't work
8. Not all of the doors open well at all
9. Hubcaps gone.
Even though a lot of things are wrong with it, it was my first car and I still love it a lot. At the moment, though, it isn't working. It needs a new MAF sensor and maybe more, but I am saving up money for that. I love this car a lot. The seats are comfortable and if I can't get this buick running, I will get another one!
Save your Brass. The Car has way too many Miles on it to contemplate sinking that kind of Money into it. Do not become emotionally attached to a Cheaply Built Piece of Iron.
I know how it feels. I love my LeSabre as well. $135 is nothing, If you plan on installing it yourself. I just spent $1,300 on exhaust and the fuel system. It was worth it, in my opinion, because it should last me another couple of years. Don't give up on it, it's got a lot of go still.
