2000 Peugeot 306 d Turbo from UK and Ireland - Comments

"Fast, fun, and cheap to run"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

The low coolant light keeps coming on randomly, when the levels fine.

For a while whenever I put the air con on, the stop light would flash, but now works fine.

There's a knocking sound from the rear nearside wheel, not sure what it is, but needs attention.

The fan belt shredded 2 days after I bought the car!

General comments?

It's been a cracking car while I've had it, I've done nearly 10k in 5 months of owning it, its cheap to run, insure, looks great on 17s!

Its chipped to 120bhp, as I thought the standard 90bhp was a bit feeble or such a sporty looking car, and I also had a full de-cat straight through powerflow exhaust, which sounds great, gives the turbo a distinct whistle, and a deep growl. makes the car pull amazingly too. will top 130mph on the clock!

It also has a part leather gti-6 interior, as the cloth seats werent up to the image!

The handling is good, but I can't comment too much because it had 17s on it from when I bought it.

Hello my friends. My name is Damian Blanco and I´m from Argentina. I bought a 2001 306 HDI last month and I can assure you it´s a very good one. I went on holiday and I did 1000 kilometers with only one charge of gas oil. I have had my car remapped and it improved a lot.

I have only one problem, when the car is stopped (but with the engine working), it´s a little bit accelerated, I don´t know what to do to solve it. Does anyone know something about it?

Cheers!!
