I just bought this car with 85000km with a blown head gasket. I'am planning on replacing the gasket myself and was wondering if I need to replace the head bolts with new ones and also what else I should check for. I know that I need to check if the head is warped.
I've always liked these cars, but never could find one that was right for me.
Yes, you should always change head bolts when you take the head off, because when the bolts are torqued to specs, they stretch which means they might not hold as good the next time around.
