"The worst car ever made period"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Man where do I start

First the brakes

transmission fluid leaked in my garage I I left for work

the whole computer system

lights kept on blinking

acceleration kept going by itself

constant stalling

everything that was not in the warranty.

General comments?

This is the absolute worst car I have ever had! I bought the car brand new and for the first year it worked fine, then the problems kept on pouring one after another and trust me I babied this car since I bought it. Every morning I had to pray for my car to work, then on a Tuesday my car completely stopped working I gave it a jump and it accelerated itself and the light went crazy. I called the dealership to pick up my car, when it was "supposedly done" it still did not work. I threw the keys at the dealer and just left it there. A piece of junk died at 30,000 miles, not even 3 years old. This is the absolute worst car that was ever built. DO NOT BUY THIS CAR AND IF you HAVE ONE, SELL IT!!!

I have been in the car business for 38 years and have been a factory exec as well as both an import and domestic dealer. My brother and I, coincidentally, had the 2000 Mercury Sables with the Duratec OHC engines. I spent a total of $236 in repairs over 6 years and 159,000 on my next to flawless Sable while his was in the shop every other week for one failure or another and he finally traded it in for a Kia, Sedona which he loves, when it had only 36,000 miles.

The point is that some vehicles are duds while the next car down the assembly line can be a jewel. That's why manufacturers will often 'step up to the plate' to cover out-of-warranty failures. The trick is to maintain your car perfectly and save your receipts. If you have an inordinate number of problems, make noise. First with the dealer and then with the factory.
