"It's a money pit"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Add me to the list as well. My 97 5.7L 1500 had gone to pot. In the last year I have replaced: idle arm, pitman arm, water pump, O2 sensor, master cylinder, rotors, in tank fuel pump and now like everyone else, I have a blown head gasket. What else can go wrong.

General comments?

I will not buy another chevy truck. Prior to this I had a Ford f-150 and I never put a cent into it. I think I will get rid of this one and buy another Ford.

I also own a 1997 C1500 Extended cab Chevy pick-up with 125,000 miles. I ordered the truck exactly how I wanted it and took delivery on Dec. 31, 1996. It has been almost 10 years and I have replaced the alternator, water pump and fuel pump. Naturally, brake pads and wiper blades have been replaced as well. Rear brake shoes are original. I change the oil and filter every 3,000 miles and have done all the repair work myself.

I have a 97 Silverado with a 5.7 liter 350 with 201,500 miles on it and I've had to do some maintenance on it, but it's a 2wd and I treat it like a 4wd. It's a good truck!
