I don't recommend this car, my previous car apparently was delicate, but was bulletproof, not like this piece of crap.
Corsa 1.4L 1998 doesn't have a A/C from factory, so it should be installed later. That can explain the problems with A/C.
Having problems with a car manufactured in 1998, but purchased in 2006, after been used in a country with the deteriorated roads Colombia has, doesn't speak bad about the car, speakes bad about the previous owner.
Please, prepare yourself reading more about cars, so you can make a better purchase in the future.
Well, Chevrolet products made in Brazil, Argentina or Mexico, by no means keep the overall quality standards that they have in Europe. However they have some Opel 'genetics' and will give you a decent ride and are cheap.
But the most important thing is not to offend a country -Colombia- or a reader, but to keep in mind that a small, cheap car is not made to last for 220,000 kms and remain intact! Please have a little common sense my friends.
The car was used primary on a highway, the AC was factory installed, the problems began at 10.000 km, that car was assambled in Ecuador and the interior materials and paint couldn't match the quality of the corsas assambled in Colombia. I know that a car with too many kilometers could have problems by it's normal use, I'm speaking about my previous experience with japanese cars like mazda, suzuki and nissan. That's my point :)
