Blew the Steering during an auto-cross. Easily fixed and expected since I did abuse it during this run. Was very fun.
Battery Terminal came loose. Again, easily fixed.
This car is definately a great competitor in any (real) vehicular sport with the notible exeption of drag due to its weight (although you can get some pretty impressive times in it). You feel like you're riding on a rail and can take corners at insane speeds whereas other competitors need to slow down.
For street driving it handles immaculately.
Anything less than a Twin Turbo model of this car is just an ordinary car.
Ladies love it, kids love it, kids want it, kids won't get it.
Looks are stunning, performance is great. Just don't break it.
I don't find it reliable, but then again for what I put my car through, It does pretty good.
Good review, Nicely written. I need to correct you thought, r/t tt stealth's are not the only stealth's that are fun. I am a proud owner of a 1991 dodge stealth r/t (pearl white). It is very very fun, it has a eco and pwr button, ECONOMY AND POWER economy mode lets the vehicle drive smoothly, however the power button lets you rise to high-revs, basically like a manual mode. The car also has a unique suspension feature, Sports mode and Tour mode, the sports mode stiffens up the suspension so you can take corners at higher speeds with ease. So your totally wrong, its not just a regular car, it's also a very fun car. I would say a fast and sporty car also. It's old, OK but i gaurentee you people that this car can take out many cars out on the new market.
I also agree with the last comment... my '92 Stealth R/T was very fun... and certainly not a "normal" car. 222HP and 222 Torque is no laughing matter... all it really lacked was the turbo's, and AWD... which made it lighter, so it wasn't all bad. :)
Now... the base model SOHC with 160HP would probably be a pure bore... but I dunno as I've never driven one.
