Transmission problems galore.
Rear and front brake problems.
Radio/cassette is junk and hard to replace.
I hate this car, I'm always back at the lousy Ford dealer every other week with more and more problems. I don't know why I bought a Ford, I should have known better.
Apparently there are a lot of people who complain about the Zetek's automatic transmission. Look for a recall on the internet. If you find one for the transmission, Print it and take it to the dealership and flash that in their faces.
That should cure their attitude problem towards your car. If you're really frustrated, consult their regional manager.
In February, 2004 I purchased a 2000 Ford Escort ZX2 for my 16 year old daughter. It had 44,000 miles on it when I bought it and has 46,000 miles on now (May 2004) and the transmission just burnt out.
Does anyone know of any recalls on this?
