Overhead console required a warranty service due to a loose wire and a tail light fuse had to be replaced. Both were covered under the warranty.
A very comfortable vehicle for long trips. Good lumbar support in the seats and quiet inside.
Steering and road handling are excellent.
Gas mileage has exceeded expectations (about 20mpg highway and 16/17 city).
It is very stable and gives a secure feel when towing. The all wheel drive gives a sense of security on slick roads.
The only improvement I would like to see is a driver's side rear sliding door.
We own a 2000 chevy astro conversion van mark III, we have owned other astros and have been happy with them and achieved 100k plus miles. But this one, I'm not sure, but it could be the conversion package, has had its share of probs. at just 53k miles. Its fair on gas, but it seams to have its probs. at the worst times (another story). This being our 3rd astro has had its share to make up for the others. Just when talking about vans they are no fun when it comes to doing any so called easy engine repairs (no room even with the doghouse off) tuneups become a headache.I'm just peeving, but 2 out of 3 aint bad, just avoid conversions. (when it comes to trade ins its hard to almost impossilble to get the real value, choo choo customs went out of business I think in 95 and even a good bank leaves you losing money) just be carefull when you go with custom vans.
