1992 Mazda 626 GLX injection saloon from UK and Ireland - Comments

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Replaced fuel pump, timing belt & clutch changed, 2 cv joints, camshaft seal leaks cannot be cured, childlocks won't disengage, changed one rear shock.

General comments?

My car has 152,000 miles on it, enginegearbox are still perfect, no rust on body. Smashing car, would buy another, electric gizmos work as well as when the car was new. Seat could be more comfortable, the engine is powerful enough for my needs, addition of a rear windscreen wiper would be a great, parts are a tad expensive eg £6.50 for a digital clock bulb.

I have a 1992 1.8i GLX which has done 149,000 miles and I tend to agree with this gentlemans comments. It is an exceptional car and I believe that it is somewhat under-rated by British car critics. As said in the previous comments it is an expensive car to maintain.

These are good cars let down by poor rear brake callipers, which have the tendency to seize up. Other than that, I had one with 14000 miles and it was so quiet I had to every now and then tap the throttle to see if the engine was still running.

The back seat had masses of space. A beautiful car overall.
