"Ford has a winner in this automobile"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Nothing has gone wrong, yet..

General comments?

Great looking car that gets great gas mileage for as "snappy" as it is.

I assume that they didn't put a "keypad" on due to the fact that you cannot accidently leave your keys in the car and lock it.. The door lock will unlock when you shut the door on the drivers side (that is if the key is left in the ignition), the other three will stay locked.

Heated leather seats are a plus for us that live in cooler climates..

It must have not come with the keypad option, I have a 2000 Grand Marquis with the coded keypad and it has the feature if you leave the key in the ignition it will unlock the doors. You can get a keypad at the dealer I believe it would be a magnetized one put on the door. I guess when you put the code in "it might" have a small radio transmitter that sends it to unlock the door, just as it would with the remotes. If you get the keypad from the factory its actually built in the door. Good luck on your Fusion.

Starting on 2008 Fusions, Milans, you can get the keypad on the driver's door on the top of the line SEL's.

This is such a nice option. Just keep your keys in the car while at the beach, airport, repair shop - pay the bill, pick up the car w/keys in the car under the floor mat at 5am, send the kids to the car to get something at the ball game without giving them the keys, walk out to check the mail and then remember to get something out of the car without having to walk back inside the house, go on a road trip with several friend and program in a temporary code so that they can get stuff out of the car at the motel without finding you to get the keys. It just goes on and on.

Have a friend drop off something at my job without having to come inside and find and bug me. I will never own a car without this keypad. Once you're spoiled, you're spoiled. Never worry about locking your keys in your car again and having to call someone, or a lock smith.

The keypad is a wonderful option. We've had it on our past Ford Explorers. GM's onstar system can unlock your doors if you accidentally lock the keys inside, but that is nowhere near as convenient as the keypad.
