NEED HELP.
Car has horrible cold start problem. Car will start, but engine light will be on and car will continually try to stall until it's warm. Once warm after being shut off for 1 minute and restarted, typically the engine light is gone and car runs great.
Symptoms are rough idle, strong gas smell, constant stalling. If driving is attempted in this state it will hesitate and move only at snails pace. Improves as it gets warmer. but does not disappear unless shut off and restarted warm. I'm baffled. A technician told us the MAF sensor and distributor had to be replaced so we had it done, but it made no difference. I've also replaced the spark plugs and wires. Please help, thank you.

New battery and alternator plus belt battery light is still on. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?
Rough idling/acceleration could be caused by bad O2 sensors as well. try changing them. Also fuel pump may be gone, check that as well.
