So far not much has gone wrong at all **touch-wood**.
The only thing needed to replace at the moment is the sump washer.
And at around 220,000 Ks the car had a new alternator.
So far Nina (as she is now known) has been a lovely car.
Everything appears to be working fine. She has come from a home who's family owned her from new and she was always well looked after.
The interior is lovely and plush. Very coushy and
comfy. A Pleasure to drive. The body is in good condition for age and with parts cheap and quite common to come along little problems are tackled well.
The only problems she's had have been general which are expected with a car of this year and kms.
However if well maintained and looked after they remain good cars. Nina is proving to be reliable and with a few lil touch ups, she'll keep going for a while to come.
I recommend these cars. And so far we don't have complaints with our Fairmont.
Hi, as a fellow falcon owner here are some maintenance tips.
At your mileage, good idea to get the head retorqued down.
Garages will say that no longer needs to be done.
Falcon heads DO blow at about 200,000 kms and cost a LOT more than having preventative mainetenance done.
Radiator profressionally cleaned out annually, perhaps new water pump is due now.
