Nothing.
Looks:
Understated, purposeful and has a level of stealth (bar the rear spoiler of course!). In silver it hid dirt well, and always looked great. The 17" wheels were perfectly sized to the car, but the ride height looks a little too high for my liking.
Power:
209bhp, and revs to over 7000rpm. Vtec changeover at 5600rpm is always a delight. It really goes and sounds like a dream in vtec mode, but even below it has plenty of grunt and flexibility to cruise about in. Very impressive car.
Hnadling:
You can really chuck this car about and feel everything! It's an amazing drivers car, with good steering feel and chassis response. Turn in for me could have done with being a little sharper. The LSD helps traction too.
Practical stuff!:
Big boot, lots of rear legroom, great recaro seats, and kit like electric windows, a/c, xenons, Bose CD player.
Reliability:
Exceptional. That's all I can say. I had it a short while, but even still, Hondas are always amazing.
Summary:
Fast, big, fun, rare, amazing car! Downsides? High insurance costs, 19mpg urban consumption, 31mpg if you are very lucky.
What's a quicker car, the 2.2 motegi Prelude manual or the Accord Type R; according to Parkers the Prelude hits 60 in 6.7, and the Accord in 7.3, is this actually correct?
The accord is quicker. My brother had a prelude and I had an ATR. 1st and 2nd there is not much in it. But once in 3rd the type r pulled. Also the engine note on the type r is much better than that of the prelude. It is all about the H22A7 engine.
I agree, older generation preludes are quicker, the newer prelude is too big and heavy.
