"Built to cover the warranty then dies"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

At 101,053 miles the head gasket blew.

Dealership did not cover under warranty!!!

Along with the water pump and radiator.

Spent 2950.70 on repairs shoulod have bought a new car, but was wanting to be loyal for the 5 years I had the car.

13 month too, the day driving down the road and surprise, same gasket blow again.

Dealer does not cover under Warranty.

General comments?

Was good, but one the warranty goes good luck becuse the car literally falls apart. be warned kia owners and people looking at kia's.

Unhappily Kias are not even sold with the 100.000 miles or 160.000 kilometer power train warranty here in Europe and my Sportage has been a major financial strain to me. And there is nothing I can do besides pay a lot of money for repairs. I bought this car second hand for cash money, but I've had to take short term credit to pay for all the repairs. Last was the transfer box and shaft that gave up after 131.000 kilometers and cost over Euro 3000 to fix with labour. And the car is never off road and has all services.

But I can only blame myself since the used car guide I read stated that Sportage was among the worst cars around regarding reliability (I can believe it!!!). And I know some few other Kia owners, existing or previous, and few have anything positive to say about their everyday transport. Next time I'll take a car loan and buy a new car, that'll be cheaper for me. And for sure it won't be a Kia.
