Rust issues.. just popped into my head after my last posting.

The car has a few nooks and crannies you need to worry about. Enough that, yes, even in Arizona, there's rust. A bit one is the rust that'll happen in the bottom of the door. Once that rubber seal gets crackly, water drips right down into the door and rots. There's a rubber seal in there that you need to pull out so it can drain.

The beauty of this car is that much of the amc mechanicals were supplied by other manufacturers. A couple examples: I replaced a turn signal switch. chevy switch's worked just fine. The engine is the same straight six that was used in Jeeps until 1990.
