Yeah, a "best buy" is an unreliable Ford Taurus (see comments on this site) that was a previous abused rental driven by hundreds of owners and maintained by unqualified mechanics.
Good luck with that one.
I just bought a 2006 Taurus SE - my hesitation was that it does look a bit "old", but the price and the low mileage (10600) and the fact that it was a rental car, tipped the scale in the favor of this "old" "Granny" car. I have had a Taurus in the past, and loved it. Now I am back into one, and with the quiet ride, the huge luggage compartment, power driver's seat for my sometime achy back, and the roomy interior, I am happy. And I think my four year old granddaughter will enjoy more room in the back for her legs!
By the way: I LOVE being a grandma, but I also LOVE motorcycles, ride a large scooter, and have a CDL, so if anybody wants to pin a "boring little granny" label on me, let them. Why should I care??? The Taurus is a great used car buy *especially* when you find one from a rental company with low mileage.
