Hi y'all.
I'm thinking of purchasing a new '07 Savvy AMT which is on offer with a RM10k discount.
Any last minute advise/brake from y'all before I leap.
Thanx.
Where got new 07 AMT Savvy offer RM$10,000.00, I was incharge of proton sale, but didn't receive this type information from head office KL, Malaysia.
Friend, don't anyhow say, later get pursue by Proton.
Dear salesman.
My advise to you is:
1. Use reading glasses, did you read as RM10K or a discount?
2. Learn to read the Classified Section of the Star, Cars for Sale, Proton Savvy, look for '07 new, check the prices published there.
3. Check out what other more SAVVY car dealers are doing with their '07 models
4 Don't call someone a friend, and then threaten them in the same sentence. Your sincerity as a salesman is showing.
5. Proton would only reward me for promoting its '07 unsold cars rather than 'go after me'
6. I agree that this is the best job for you if you haven't heard from HO.
Have a nice day. Anyway I know u r joking, so comments are also done in like manner.
Waaaa...so sensitive meh... just get a car as it is a good car.
Friend, when you can getting RM$10K discount from Proton branch, faster go to place booking.
Still worth it by discount RM$10,000 to getting year 07 road shows Savvy, this is what Sale staff are doing now.
As for Savvy 07 mfg stock, no people touch before, they are only discount RM$2K ~ RM$3K. I think no more stock already.
Anyway, the Savvy body structure very solid and hard, buy Proton already conduct road shows Savvy still worth it.
OK, I've gotten my Savvy AMT. I paid RM31800 for '07/'08 for a hi-line w/out immobilizer. Want one, look in Star Classifieds. These are "new" cars registered by Proton Edar as 1st owner. My car came with some dings, and one rusty spot and 130km done, and all warranties and accessories. I've it a week and drove 500km w/out any problems.
My observations:
- All city driving returns 22sen/km after the recent petrol price hike
- A little jerky on the takeoff with AMT/D
- Smoother gear change in Manual
- Slow gentle acceleration (doesn't power off like a Kelisa), but at 70/80kph, it'll chew up the road once you
pedal down. Sometimes wished for more pep/faster pickup on lower gears.
- Very decent sound system that helps shut off the loud engine and road noise at higher speeds
- Better rear seat comfort and thigh support than the new Saga
- More expensive consumables like spark plugs @ RM80 vs RM30 for a usual set of 4, and timing belt change @550 vs RM380 for others, but the savings in petrol consumption more than make up for it in a week or two.
- Rear seats sit 2 adults comfortably or 3 anorexics
- Trunk space, whats that? 1 set of golf clubs plus shoe bag and overnighter and it'll fill up the trunk, but your girlfriend can use the rest of the car for her stuff.
- While in AMT/D, you can switch to manual/lower gear and take-off if suddenly you like me feel this car isn't moving fast enough.
- Car color is green and it sure looks like some urban ninja turtle (not so cool design, but bearable)
- Bright bright (gimme my sunglasses now!) headlamps, really!
And don't start your comment on this by saying "I say friend..."
Hi,
I have just got my Standard version AMT for RM32K without roadtax and insurance, without warranty... you must be very lucky to have hi-line for 31800.
Anyway to check if I would have warranty?
