Hello everyone!

I am looking for one of the following valiant charger models:

VH R/T E37

VH R/T E38

VH R/T E48

VH R/T E49

VH S/E E55.

VJ E48

VJ E49

VJ E55.

I am looking for a car that is in poor condition to suit restoration as I don’t have much money to spend. It would be better with motor and gearbox, even if they don’t work. Must be a genuine car. Preferably in Victoria. Thank you.

Tom.

Hey ummm guys... First of all, I will pay you if you find any Charger in any condition under $500! Keep your eye on the Chargers (as I have) and you will come to know that it is impossible. Second of all, this is a survey site probably designed for comments about the Charger, not a free advertisement site such as carsales so please keep it that way, according to me, this is a waste of time of your own and others.

Have a nice day.

I'm not advertising anything, and occasionally, if you're lucky, Chargers do come up for less than $500

OK, I'm not having a go at you, but I am dead set serious, this is my email address : Hey_Charger_75@hotmail.com

Let me know once you find a Charger for $500 or under.

Of course you can get a Charger for under $500. But you'll have to go to your local model shop. Real ones for that sort of money simply and categorically do not exist.

Well, I am doing up a VH Valiant Charger, and I can tell you that you might be lucky to get a column to go into the car for $500

Not just that, but there are a set of R/T trumpet horns going for $750, I mean the prices are getting rediculous, but that's all you would expect from a great Aussie legend, and my advice if you got a Charger, the smart ones will keep em, but if they do want to sell em, they go for more than most new cars these days, unless your selling a wheel or a panel or something.

OK, there were 149 E-49 chargers made!! To the person wanting to know. An E-49 Charger weighing in at 1300 kg's is a lot lighter then the "PHASE 3". Better handling, quicker, less cylinders, better looking and not a 4 door family looking car. Just looking at the VH Chargers - you can tell they have a lot better aerpdynamics than that of the gtho. Ohh by the way let us see one of Holden or Fords "6" cylinder engines meet the performance or speed of that in the E49.

I am looking to buy a charger between 10 and 15 thousand as I am a panel beater by trade and father owns a panel shop I would like one that hasn't been worked on as such fairly original, but tidy for a long term project any help with finding me one would be awsome.

Again, this is a survey site, where you post comments about the car, not just a place where you can put up free ads!

In comparing a Charger and a GT HO, I prefer my 1971 Mercedes-Benz 300SEL 6.3...

Most are worth $15,000 today and could do 144MPH, 0-60 in 5.7 seconds, quarter mile in 14.1 seconds - all this at a weight of 4000 pounds.

Air suspension was standard, it was mechanically fuel injected, had electric everything, air conditioning, leather interior, walnut wood.

Those two cars never matched the comfort offered by the Benz at 100 MPH.

People just don't know enough about them, and this keeps their value low.
