1982 Chevrolet Camaro Berlinetta from North America - Comments

Any car can make it to 400,000 miles provided:

1. It stays away from salt, and can tolerate what little it sees.

2. It has a solid engine made to stomach low-octane gas.

3. It's purty 'n fun e'nuff to always be worth fixing.

If you think 400,000 is amazing, try 800,000 in a 1978 Lincoln Continental Mark V with a 460ci under the hood.

They made cars to last back then.

Yeah chevy's are built to run, the old ones at least. I have an 88' I-Roc only has 103k miles on it, trying to keep them low. And for the guy who posted earlier about having a 87 Berlinetta - they only produced Berlinetta til 86. :)

I have a 1982 Camaro Berlinetta, I found her in OK, rusting in front of this guys house. Well I went up and looked at it and found that it had the LG4 305 and decided to buy it. it took a lot of work, but ill tell you this, ill own this car for the rest of my life. In the world of third gen camaro's, the 1982 Camaro Berlinetta is one of the rearest ones.

Mine came with a LG4 305, 3 speed auto, t-tops, power everything. She now has a 426hp 383 chevy small block, will soon have a T56 6speed, and a Ford 9in with a 4:11 gear.

To the guys that are lucky enough to have one, you know what I mean when I say this car will always be there for when you need her.

I have a 1990 1/2 ton Chevy silverado with 407,000 miles It has a 350 engine and it still runs great. I have been the only owner - the engine is still original, I have had 2 alternators, 1 radiator, 2 water pumps, 3 starters, all minor stuff.

The inside of the truck is falling apart, but the mechanics are great. This truck has never left me on the side of the road - knock on wood.
