I bought a 95 Intrepid used with about 85,000 miles on it. I have owned it for about 3 years now and have not had a single problem with it so far. The only thing that I have ever had replaced on it was the multifunction switch. I am getting ready to replace it again at 120,000 miles. Otherwise it runs like a charm and has never failed me.
I just bought a 1995 intrepid a week ago. The headlights are fogged and the driver door lock sticks. Everything else is OK. Rides like a dream. A/C cold as ice. Has 165000 miles on it. Could I be in for a big surprize?
I have a 95 Dodge Intrepid. The only thing I like about is the style and roominess. For the mecanical side of it, it's a piece of crap. Let me explain, I bought the car from brother for a steal, I thought was a steal, since then the motor and trans had to be replaced, front end work had to be done it, head lights had to be replaced;fogged over, steering rack went out had to replace or no p/s. Coil Pack had to be replaced or car would only run on 3 cyl. I could go on and on. Total cost on repairs 4,000, what a steal. A word to the wise, do not buy Dodge crap. DAN from WI, Rapids, WI.
I got my 95' Dodge Intrepid back in '04. It was my first car and I got it for a good deal of $1,250. So in the last 3 years.. I have put in over $4,000 onto it. Yeah, people say I am crazy, but everything has been replaced from the engine and the transmission, to the multi-switch, and the fuel pump. And this car still runs like a piece of crap. When I drive it for longer then 30 minutes, the car would go into "Limp Mode", meaning the car won't go past 35 MPH... until the engine cools down. I will never buy a Dodge car again.
"WOW"! I'm really glad I researched and found these problem issues before I finalize my deal. Started my suspicion when,
IT FREAKIN OVERHEATED AS SOON AS I PULLED IN MY DRIVEWAY!!!
