I am very much interested getting a reconditioned model; maybe 1998/1999/2000. But these used cars are really giving me a headache as I am only a lady who knows nothing. Kindly advise what are the things that I should look at?

If the car running mileage is more than 200km, does is it mean the car is no good?

I might want to engage a mechanic from Toyota to assist in this. But people have told me these mechanics, if they receive a bribe from a dealer, will tell you all sorts of nice things.

Kindly reply to me via email: elaineyapsc@hotmail.com.

My location is JB, Malaysia. If you happen to have a nice car(locally), let me know.

Thanks a lot!

I would like to import my 2003 Toyota Harrier to the USA. Can anyone give me an idea of how much it will cost to convert the emissions system from Japan to USA regulations?

THANKS!!!

PS: to all those that are asking how to convert the Japanese language dash displays to English, FORGET it!!! I bought my Harrier brand new & at that time the dealer told me that the language could not be changed.

Hi...

I have been driving my 2.4L VVTI Harrier for 2 years already and it has been a blessing. The car is superb with sufficient power. Petrol is OK and most importantly the maintenance is low. since I used fully synthetic oil... i changed it every 10,000 mile. The transmission oil every 25,000. I have yet service my air cond since it has been working 'cool' till now.

If there is an unsolved problem... there are TWO:

1. the squeaking sound every now and then whenever I turn my steering wheels. no mechanics have been able to solve this.

2. the clanking sound every time I want to reverse... from underneath the car. again, no mechanics have been able to address this either.

Any ideas?

Hi all! I want to import a Harrier 4WD 3.0, but have some questions. Is that true that Harrier (Lexus 300) has transmission problems? Likes to break? Any ideas? Thanks

Is it true that I have to change my automatic transmssion fluid at every 25000kms? The Harrier is indeed a superb car but the left rear shock makes a bit of noise. What could be the reason? When I drive on bumpy roads the shock doesnot show that it is finished either.

Please advise.
