To the guy with the oil light flickering, change the OPSU (oil pressure sending unit)
Well how do I start? Recently there has been a lot of problems with my 1991 Sundance, but hey it's an old car right? Plus I've had it for 3 yrs and I only paid about 150 dollars for it! It sat 3 years before that without anyone starting it or even caring for it. As I was reading some of the other comments I had noticed that a lot of them seem to have troubles with the head gasket. I too had to replace that, and I still have to tighten the bolts on it because they get knocked loose with how much the engine shakes. My oil pan gasket is leaking though (just recent) and im waiting for better weather to fix that. My dad had replaced the radiator, and recently my exhaust system fell off, but it won't pass emissions anyways so I don't really see a point in hurrying to fix that right now. Its got 116,597 miles on it, in which its mostly highway miles. I drive it everywhere and its never failed me or my father once. I take that back, since it had sat 3 yrs in snow, rain and everything else, the body along with some other parts are a tad bit rusted, well my brake line had snapped where we had pinched it off, and I lost control of my brakes. I ran into like 6 snow banks to get it to stop! It's a heavy duty little car and I love it! My parents and my boyfriend have all told me that they will PAY me to get rid of it or just let it die! But I will never allow that to happen, I was taught to take care of my cars and I will continue to do that. Plus for 150 bucks what do ya expect? I absolutly love this car and if I could, I would go and fix it up almost like brand new and if I had the money I would buy another one! Honestly! My boyfriend had put in a stereo though and since the wiring in this car had been done backwards (Mopar seems to do that a lot) he had shorted it out which had shorted out my interior lighting. But other than all that, its been a good reliable car, and I drive it to and from my parents house every weekend, which is a hr and a half drive from where I live just one way! She loves the open road and to be opened up just as much as I love driving this comfortable little car! My dad could buy me a Corvette and I still wouldn't trade this one in (pathetic I know!)
I now own a 1991 Plymouth Sundance. I am 14 and my dad taught me how to drive when I was 12 and gave me the car when I was 13 it is reliable (I live in the country so I can drive wherever). It had 600,000 miles on it since I've owned it. It's at 731,000. Never had a problem with it, all original, really lucky I guess.
