Hello,

I have a 1972 Lemans GT. It was purchased new by my family back then and was driven home by my older brother and me from the dealership. It was to be MOM's new car...however,

He drove it to college after borrowing it a zillion times from my Mom. He then was ready to sell it for an Audi Fox. I got wind of this at the dinner table one evening and asked my parents if I could obtain it instead. I small deal was cut and My brother happily turned Mom's old GT over to Me and went on to purchase his Audi back in 77. I am happy to say that I still have this car today. It has been cared for and modified to some degree over time. It has been a major source of enjoyment for myself and my own family as they have grown to the ages to appreciate it. Although the 350 2brl 3 speed on the floor had been removed for a more substantial drive-train. (462ci) This car has lost no pride or value to us. If anything... it has become our symbol of summer.

I just bought a rare optioned 1972 Pontiac luxury Lemans Sport coupe; Anaconda Gold with a factory 400 4 barrel dual snorkel, turbo 400 transmission and 12 bolt 3.31 ratio because the car was built in Canada, the 12 bolt option only came with the 455 engine in the USA. White buckets seats and console, black dash pad with wooden trim insert and 140 mph speedometer! I wonder how many of these they produced with same options as GTO? What a rare find for 2000$, of course it needs to be restored. I received the PHS from Oshawa Ontario and found out my car is indeed a rare one with only 33 built in Canada with these options

makes it a real GTO sleeper !!!

I would like to add to the 72' Lemans GT story here. My dad purchased a 72' Lemans GT from the local dealership. There were 2 available. One, White with the blue reflective side stripes and the other (the one he bought) was Blue with the silver side stripes. It had beautiful white interior, bucket seats, endura front bumper, dual exhaust (side exit behind the rear tires), 400-4bbl, Hurst 4 speed (actual hurst shifter lever). Sway bars front and back. They sold it in 78' when I got my license (they would not let me buy it at the time as they said it had too much power). I ended up buying a 65' Lemans with a 326 auto.

I know these are a very "rare" car. The one stock photo I see most on the web is of a Gold w/black stripe one. I would almost anything to have the one my dad had!

I grew up with my dad owning (from new) a 65' GTO, 67' Firebird H.O., 69' Lemans Custom S, and the 72' Lemans GT. I myself have owned my 65 Lemans, 72 Lemans Sport and a 69 GTO.

Ltlgto.

I'm another very happy owner of a 72 lemans convertible. This car has been my mothers and then mine since 1975 and I have original sticker. The engine is 455 and just blows away any one wanting to dance. The man who originally special ordered it purchased the GTO options on the lemans convertible and some other rare requests like power windows, but no power locks, and automatic, but on the column with bucket seats. It has dual exhaust, ram air and it is all original. Even the original radio, speakers, wheels everything I tried to get my mom to change when I was in high school that she insisted would be a huge mistake. Well, as always, she new best and was right again.

I would like some direction as to the number of these made, value etc. If you have a web site to direct me to I'd greatly appreciate it! This car has wonderful memories for me. My mom always blew people away as the light would change. Cutlass 442's Chargers Old Chevelle's, it's so strong! The guys I went to school with would measure the burn off's my Mom would leave on the road. Quite proud to be her daughter! And still driving this beauty! Hee hee! You can

send any info on how many were made, options, value etc. to dublinjen2000@hotmail.com

Hi, I just had a 1967 Pontiac Le mans restored. It was my parents car throughout my childhood and has lots of memories. The paint job is so beautiful...it's like baby blue, but darker... looks like cotton candy! It has a straight six engine Overhead cam which was rare. It's a beauty! If anyone would like pictures just ask! I may consider selling if the price is right. karenmmc3@gmail.com.

Oh Geez, where to begin!!! I have a 1972 Pontiac LeMans Sport, this car was bought in 1972 by my uncle and he was killed in a car crash. I'm looking at restoring his car for the family and I am having a VERY hard time located parts. Can anyone help me with this? I would greatly appreciate it. The car is going to need a full body-off resto, so any advice on hunting down parts is welcome! Here is my email address, b_pomeroy@hotmail.com. Thank you!
