I am a tiara owner since 2005. first year was good. I went to johor bharu, kuantan and many other places. so far so good. but 5 months ago I faced the first problem and till now I almost spent 1600 rm to cover it. but still I am facing problem. basicly I am happy with it, but those expencive parts and irrogant foremans...

When they see a tiara in front of their workshop they feel they found gold. one of them even offered me a price of rm 280 to change engine oil. do you believe it???

Anyway I am living in danau kota - kl and looking for a good, trustable and reasonable foreman to repair my tiara.

Anybody to advice me.

Thanks.

Dear All, first and foremost everybody must understand that Tiara is just another car. Meaning to say it has the advantages and disadvantages. The cost of its spare parts etc is actually very subjective. If you love your Tiara, you have to take care of it. Whatever things which have been taken off properly and nicely normally will be always in a good order.

Tiara... Tiara... Tiara... I bought Tiara back in 1997,

peoples always complaining regarding the spare parts price I do agree the spare parts are quite expensive last five years because its original spare parts but now the spare parts are more cheaper (made in balakong).

For me car m'tce is very subjective, depends on the owner attitude. For me to compare an apple to durians is not logical. An apple must be compared to an apple not to durians or dragon fruits.

Most of my friends looking for Tiara for their second car.

Reasons,

1.The most 2nd hand cheaper car in the market.

2.Less maintenance

3.Good handling.

Like every Tiara owner, I'm also looking for a foreman who is experienced, trust-worthy and reasonably priced to fix my Tiara. It's already 10 years old and only now I have to change the starter. Please sms to me at 019-3828074 if anyone knows one foreman in Kuala Lumpur. IT'S URGENT!

Hello to all. Tiara? Well, before I'm driving it, I feel so uncomfortable seeing tiara. but after rent the tiara and drive it all the way from kuala lumpur to seberang prai, then from seberang perai to jertih using jalan timur barat at grik (at the same day). after resting for a few hours I continue my journey to kuala lumpur these time using jertih to kuala terengganu and then kuantan to kuala lumpur by karak highway. the journey is around 1300km. two days journey. the tiara I rented already 200,000km and not being used or even started the engine for a long period of time. NO PROBLEM BY THE TIME I USING IT. and the other thing that interested me is the FUEL CONSUMPTION. only RM120 all the way aroung. i believe tiara is so comfort rather than kancil nor kelisa. Believe me. The tiara is rather good handling, more powerfull (of course 1.1liter) than the car I mentioned. I feel, I'm going to have one because the price is much lower now. I mean lower enough for me, price agreed sold to me rm2800. hahaha.. better than ex5 (not x5 hah).

I have been used Tiara since 2000 until now. I've saved

a lot of money for maintenance and it has not much problem.

For the tome beeing I just want to change my radiator because

it has leaking at one point. If any body who knows where can

I get the metal type including the reasonable cost.

I'm currently a poor student with no income... haha.

Then I came across this proton tiara that some guy at my uni wants to sell for Rm3200... 1997 proton tiara 1.1gl

Can anybody give me any opinions about the price? Is it reasonable? The only thing I'm afraid of is a high repair and maintenance cost as I can't afford it. But I won't be driving it for long distance travel; mostly city travel only.

Any tips on what to check while inspecting the car? I'm a complete dummy with cars... hehe.

Comom problems with tiara is the dive shafts. most important is you need to make sure the engine is not overheating and the gearbox is shifting smoothly.
