Just bought a perdana v6 black year 2005, the car is solid. and it comes with atf cooler for the gearbox. get it for rm57k direct owner. actually after so many years of car defect, everything has been solved. nissan latio have ECU problem when it first come out. an owner have a problem with it's ECU after 6 months. so we can see that every product which is newly launch does have their own minor problem. doesn't mean japanese car won't face this kind of problem. perdana is originally a mitsubishi eterna anyway, so quality is still not so bad. sound proof has been improve for 2005 model onwards cos when I test drive the car, it's very smooth and quiet, have the feel of camry class kind of car. spare parts is cheapest among 2.0 car and gearbox replacement can get anywer with around rm1k plus only. better than honda city gearbox that will cost you a bomb which is more than rm15k or 20k and the ride and handling were so so only. service the car regularly and it will be problem free, no worries. every car needs service anyway to maintain it at good shape.
