I bought a brand new 2000 model alero, I still own it, but spending money for repairs such as major brakes repair, fuel pump, battery, radiator hose broken, etc. and for seven years at 150,000 plus km. of mileage still suffering

the agony. The present problem right now is the computer

system because ABS and Brake, alarm all the time. According to the GM dealership, I need to buy a new computer for this car to fix the problem. Another C$ 1500 plus tax and labour.

I want to trade this car, but I don't have money anymore to buy another car. Any one can help about this computer spare.? Please call. at work 639 3472 (Abloy)

I have a 2000 Oldsmobile Alero I bought 4 years ago at 30K miles. When I got the car it came with a alarm keypad that was near death and eventually broke, and of course they do not make that kind anymore. Since then I have had trouble with the security light coming off and on whenever I'm driving, or of course turn the car on, and then I can't start the car for 10 minutes because of the automatic kill switch. I have to sit in a parking lot or where ever I am for 10 minutes, waiting for it to turn off before I can start the car. At one point I would start it up and it would turn on again up to 3 times.

I would like to know how to turn it off forever. I've taken it to the dealers and they have changed out the ignition, which cost 700 dollars, and it was not the problem. Does anyone else have this problem? If so, djglitterwomack@yahoo.com

I bought a 1999 Oldsmobile Alero four years ago with about 66,000 miles on it (I've put about 30,000 more on it). The car is great looking, and I had no problems with it for about a year. My windshield began bubbling and peeling, however, and it's so bad at this point that the airbag cover on the passenger side looks like it's about to pop off.

Other than the dashboard, both of my back windows broke, my driver's side window has broken twice and my passenger's side window is about to be replaced (it's making horrible noises). I've had problem with the ABS and engine lights coming on, I've had my rotors replaced and a few other things go wrong.

If it weren't for the windows and the dashboard, I'd love my car and be willing to put the money into keeping it nice. But it's just ridiculous that the dashboard MELTS and no one will fix it.
