Well mate!! with regards to your breaking noise and from years of experience and spending thousands of ringgit fixing it endlessly.. you problem could be due to the four clips that is holding the brake pads... each wheel with 2 brake pads on each side of the brake disc have 4 clips..2 at the outside and 2 inside so it is normal for wira cars to have this clip gone in no time.. so go to a half cut shop and buy one... it will fix your problem in no time.Proton service center will not supply you this and would recommend you to change the whole brake set.

No point taking it back to Proton service center... there are just a bunch of students that is following the books and are unable to indentify your problems... good luck mate!!

In 2005 I owned a wira 1.5GL SE auto, which is terrible in pickup power. I referred it to EON Service centre to see if something can be done to improve the poor acceleration. After checking, nothing wrong with the tuning and set-points.

To my disappointment, I was told " Proton wira aeroback memang itu macam kalau tidak bukan dipanggil Proton " by the mechanic. Can anyone enlighten me on how to improve the acceleration power fot this particular model?

Hmm, the comment about the poor acceleration for the Wira Auto is pretty off topic. But, just to give my two $se. Acceleration can be improved by replacing your air filter with an open pod type. That will suck in more air to improve horsepower. Regarding on the acceleration problem, probably can be attributed to poor throttle response. That can be remedied also by replacing your plasticky air ram with a aluminium or stainless steel air ram. More specifically, replace the current setup with a shorter air ram. The distance from the air filter to the throttle body is shorter, so throttle response and acceleration may considerably improve... Also, SE? Means that it may use the heavier 16" tire setup. Use smaller lightweight tires. That will improve acceleration significantly.

And yeah... Proton Wira sucks... Too many mods to make it a decent car.

Proton just another tools to make certain people to get rich. Can't you see most of the accidents happen in Malaysia are NATIONAL Cars... PROTON... After so many years running with title national car... yet we still not yet see any improvement. I think they can't even make Malaysians happy with the quality of the car they provided, how are they selling it to others regional? People are not blind and stupid...

Hi, it's jienn again. I see a lot of ppl still having problem with their wiras. Well, I already change my transmission from auto (3speed) to manual transmission + lighweight flywheel. Rim from 14 to 16 (slow down acceleration a bit).4-2-1 extractor does help 'a bit'.

I see many ppl now days buying 2nd hand wiras, just watch out for the accident's one. kelisa is also a good choice, but the price to change the engine mounting... ha ha ha mampus lah lu orang!!! any enquiries jienn_@hotmail.com.
