What can I do to my xr2i 1.8 16v to make it quicker, and how much will it cost?

Hi I have a fiesta xr2i 8v it is running lumpy at any under 30mph. changed plugs n leads no change put thr redex injection cleaner stll no better any one got any ideas. thanks gary.

Dude two msg's above me. as the 8 valve is not very sophisticated with electroics, put a better air filter on it that will react well to that or you could take out all the intirior the it will accelerate quicker and hold corners a bit better. runnining lumpy or could be the fuel filter? try cleaning the carb material or have a look at the distributor. I love my xr2i got full stainless exhaust made a custom air filter / scoop for forcd induction and a custom remap on a super chip weight reduction and ht leads / denso plugs and its going pretty quick just need some racing cams and change the inlet manifold and injectors then im done with doing it up its new car or cossie parts put in, but im getting 0-60 in 7.5 seconds so im happy.
