I have a 1993 cadillac deville, which is eating alternators. It gives me no warninga t all, and the alternator is gone/. I cannot get a new one, as they are not available, and have thus far used two delco rebuilts and one bosc. The bosc lasted a little longer than the two delcos. this one has lasted a month. My husband is a licensed mechanic for 45 years, and it has him baffled. if you can't help me, can you please recommedn an online service which may be of assistance.

I have a 93 Cadillac touring sedan, it has the traction off light coming on, as well as the anti-lock brake light coming on too. They are staying on even after I turn off the ignition like the manual says. I also have problems with the heat not coming out too well when driving. I was told it is common for this to happen in Cadillacs, and there for must have a rad flush yearly. I also am having problems with the alarm system. It hasn't worked since someone broke into my trunk. Any help with this would be great.

I have a 1993 sedan de ville, gray with red leather int. It has 128k miles on it. I have had it for 8 months. It has gone through 4 alternators, no one knows why. I also have a problem with the hot air coming into the car. My anti-lock brake light also stays on. The car was very well taken care of by it's previous owner. It gets about 19mpg.The ride is smooth, like you are flying. I feel like I'm driving a ROOM, it is so spacious. I love the car. It is very fast, too.

The octane of the gas is just there for the increase of the compression ratio... higher octane more compression... and the higher the octane the more HP it gets for performance. plus if you can afford a Cadillac you shouldn't need to worry about $.20 more for the better gas. plus the higher octane is better for the engine (any engine as a matter of fact) because its purer so it cleans and such and actually gives you a little (oh ever so slighty) better MPG because the engine needs less of the good stuff to produce the amount of power its needing.

My anti-lock brake light also always comes on it doesn't really bother me and the brake shop said that the brakes were brand new. About running lower grades of gas like 89 or 87 I find no problem with 89 it doesn't knock or the car doesn't lag or anything like that. As far as 87 grade I haven't tried it yet, but I'm sure it will run just as good.
