I own a 94 eclipse gs-t. No let me tell u, it might not be the fastest car in the world, but it's VERY impressive. all you need is to know someone that knows what they're doing. For $20 I dropped down a whole second in the 1/4 mile. for $7,000 my friend was running 11's, then converted to an all-wheel drive, and is now running 9's. so yeah... i gotta say that I do love my "poor man's Porsche"!

Hey I don't own an Eclipse, but I can tell you this much my friend brought over his 2001 Eclipse he has just bought for 7000$ has the 3.0ltr 24Valve V6 and all I can say is for an engine that has supposidly 200HP.. where the hell is it?? My 4dr 1993 Acura Integra just screams past this eclipse.. no wonder I have toasted so many eclipses even raced a turbo eclipse before and we were door to door.. so to sum it all up my 150Hp B18B2 4CL non-vtec has more power and acceleration than a v6 with 200hp that doesn't even make since.. all I can say is Go ACURA/HONDA they are amazing machines.. geesh a new acura rsx has 210 and I know they will just blow the doors of any eclipse when my acura 4cl takes all the v6's.. doesn't make much since, but shows you who makes a better engine..

OK, so I drive a 1995 gst. Let me tell you about how I have not found a 3g eclipse that can keep up with me yet. And really, who cares about the 0-60 time? We all know that a stock eclipse would SMOKE a 3g anyday. And you mush have one quick integra to keep up with a turbo eclipse. I mean, they make 210 hp stock, and run a 14.9. There's no way a 3g makes those numbers, or a stock integra for that matter.

I have had only one 3rd gen Eclipse try to play with me. Apparently he could'nt see the GS-T decal on my decklid and tried to run me. All I had to do was spool-up the turbo and he immediately backed off and turned around. LOL. It was a sight to be seen.

I am currently looking at a 1995 GST, Can anyone tell me approx. how many MPG's you are getting... I will be driving close to 100 miles a day and would like good mileage. Any input would be appreciated. Feel free to e-mail me directly at traci_grantz@bellsouth.net.

Well now I know who's buying Eclipses. Immature boy racers.

I just bought a 95 gst turbo... and it is amazing. It is pretty sweet when I pull up to the line and smoke and integra or civic and at the end they realize a girl just beat them. I would recommend this car to anybody that wants a fast car with power. possible be prepared for transmission problems thou.. i just had to spend 1500 on a new one... i was wondering if that is a common problem with eclipse

but over all this car has some wicked power.

Just wanted to comment, I have a 95 GST. It's a fun car to drive. I wouldn't call it or the 3G a fast car. If you think they are, line up against my 72mm turbo 87 5.0, low 11s with nothing else done besides injectors, pump, and radiator. Anyway, still a fun car to drive.

I just wanted to defend the person who said they ran a Saleen.

The S7 is not the only vehicle to carry the Saleen badge.

The early Saleen Mustangs were nothing more than an appearance package and some suspension tuning, so, sure they could have outrun an 86 Saleen Mustang.

And yes, I know this is an old thread. Still felt I should defend that person.
